A friend of mine, who is new to futures, accidentally held a trade into the close and blew hi Bulenox accounts. Thankfully he only had two accounts.

He's using Rithmic, which is my preferred broker for prop firms because you have many ways to control risk available to you.

NinjaTrader can auto close positions but I prefer a broker-based solution that doesn't depend on:

1. NinjaTrader running
2. NinjaTrader not losing it's connection
3. You computer not having any issues
4. Your internet not having any problems

I like using Rithmic's R Trader Pro software to setup an auto liquidate time. 

This ensures that you will never have open positions or orders after the time you set.

NOTE: I setup both methods so I'll never have to worry about failing an account because of not closing my positions.

Thanks Tom. I have a personal funded account with Apex. Does anyone know if there is a similar setting at Apex for personal accounts (which would also work as a back up to the NT setting) or is that not possible?
