I built a small utility that I've been using personally for a while and figured I'd share it with you all for free.
The problem: NinjaTrader's database and cache bloat over time, charts load slower, and if you run strategies overnight you can get ghost positions on restart. Plus, typing your password every single time gets old fast.
The solution: A one-click launcher that handles all of this automatically before NinjaTrader even opens.
What it does:
- Weekdays (Quick Mode): Clears cache and snapshot folders, removes stale workspace backups that cause ghost positions
- Weekends (Full Mode): Deep cleans all cached data folders, backs up your SQLite database with a rolling 3-copy rotation, then deletes the live database so NinjaTrader rebuilds fresh
- Password handling: Stores your NT password locally, copies it to your clipboard on launch, and auto-clears after 60 seconds
- Smart detection: Automatically picks the right cleaning mode based on the day of the week - no configuration needed
It's a single EXE file. Save it to a folder, create a desktop shortcut, and use that to start NinjaTrader from now on. First time you run it, it'll ask for your password once - after that it's fully automatic.

Heads up: Windows Defender might flag it as suspicious since it's a compiled PowerShell script - that's a common false positive. Just click "Run anyway" or add an exception. There's nothing malicious in it.
